Delete it yourself, right away
A student, or a parent signed in as the student, can delete the account and everything in it at any time:
- In the Write on! app: More → My account → Delete my account, then confirm.
- On the website: sign in, open Account, and under My data choose Delete my account.
The account and its data are deleted straight away. This can't be undone.
Ask us to delete it
If you can't sign in, email aria.nyx@astravoxis.com with the subject “Delete my Write on! account”. Write from the student's email address or the parent's email address on the account, and tell us the student's name. We delete the account within 7 days and reply to confirm.
A parent who hasn't approved the account yet can also choose “No” in the approval email. That deletes the account and everything in it at once.
What is deleted
- The account: name, email address, password, parent's email address, grade and class code
- All writing, every saved version, and Inki's feedback on it
- Questions asked to Inki and answers reported to us
- Lessons, progress, goals, badges, ink drops and closet items
- Contest entries, grown-up reports and shared report links
- Notification settings and the phones signed up for notifications
What is kept, and for how long
- Our admin activity log may keep the account's internal number (never a name, email or writing) for up to 1 year, then it is deleted automatically.
- Copies in our backups are deleted within 30 days.
- If a parent paid for Premium, the payment records stay with our payment provider for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
